Bollywood trade expert Taran Adarsh has infuriated chocolate boy Shahid Kapoor so much that the good-looking actor ended up venting his anger in public. Taran had tweeted about the revenue Shahid’s ‘Mausam’ has generated since its release and mentioned that the film has not been able to do brisk business as was expected.
“Fetched approx Rs 21 cr / Rs 22 cr nett in its opng wknd. Biz slided downwards on Saturday, but showed escalation on Sunday,” Adarsh tweeted, adding, “Shahid`s biggest opener, but also Shahid`s biggest release in terms of print count & screens. Hence, numbers are below the mark.”
Shahid was prompt enough to retaliate. He tweeted, “So all those trying so hard to screw mausam can go screw themselves...Waise bhi aajkal kuchh logon ke adarsh buri tarha gir chuke hain (Nowadays people have lost their moral terribly).”
That was pretty harsh. But this did not deter Taran from responding again. He tweeted, “Abusing and maligning me on a public platform won`t help. Instead, get a reality check and introspect the shortcomings of the film.” ‘Mausam’ is closest to Shahid’s heart for it is his father Pankaj Kapoor’s directorial debut. So it goes without saying that he wouldn’t take any criticism lying down.
