Anushka Sharma speak about her: I feel a distinct desire to be perceived as most unbelievably cherished performing artist: Unlike a Sonam or a Deepika who are known for working extra hard on their costumes, especially when it comes to formal outings amongst the elite, Anushka Sharma prides herself on pretty much being a free bird.

"When you entertain your audience with each of your films, they would accept you for what you wear and for what you are. They won't judge you based on the clothes you wore in a party or what was being written about in your personal life", says Anushka with a mischievous glint, "I am looking at the end product; not the by-product."

No wonder, now that Anushka is finding herself in relatively stable state when it comes to her career, Anushka wants to play a long innings a la Madhuri as the veteran actress has won the tag of being not just a complete performer but also one of the most respected women around.

"What matters for me is to be seen as the most loved actress a decade down the line. This is what made Madhuri what she is today, right", questions Anushka, "She is what I would term as an epitome of a complete actress. She still carries certain grace to her and right through her career she never did anything shocking whatsoever just for the effect. I am happy to follow her for what she has been for so long."Meanwhile Anushka is fine being choosy about her assignments rather than picking up films by dozens.

"Yes, for the moment it is only LADIES V/S RICKY BAHL for me. But then there are a couple of other films as well that I should be starting soon. Let the makers make a formal announcement around this", smiles Anushka before signing off.
