Rukh Khan was in NCR on Thursday, and 100 lucky
Hindustan Times readers won their moment with him. “I like meeting my fans whenever and wherever. When we express the lives of ordinary people in films, why not meet them? I’m quite blessed at having so many fans; I won’t be able to meet all of them in my whole life!” said the 45-year-old as he caught up with us at The
Oberoi hotel,
Gurgaon. The actor hasn’t had a wink of sleep in the last five days, as he is on a promotion marathon for his upcoming superhero flick,
Ra.One, which releases next month. He said that the film, on which he reportedly spent
Rs150cr, has left him broke. “I’ve spent a lot of money on it, way beyond my capability. This film is way beyond numbers. It’s from the heart, and the heart doesn’t know how to calculate,” said Khan.
The movie is getting pats from Hollywood technicians. “We should make our films so superior that Hollywood should be interested in us and not the other way. It’s my turn to give back to the Indian film industry.” Later in the evening, SRK performed at the Global Indian Music Awards (GIMA) at the entertainment hub, Kingdom of Dreams.
