Mahesh Bhatt speak about pakistani Actress Meera: She wants medical help: Mahesh Bhatt, who has been pleading with the government to pardon the 80-year-old Pakistani citizen Dr Saiyyad Mohammad Khaleel Chishty, who was convicted of murder after a 19-year-long trial, has no respite from controversies.
Pakistani actress Meera, who made her debut in Hindi films with Nazar -- directed by Mahesh Bhatt's wife Soni Razdan -- fell out with them soon after, and had accused him of slapping her. The filmmaker, of course, denies it.
'At a time when one is trying to obtain a pardon for Dr Chishti, comes this irresponsible allegation by Meera to the Indian press. Meera has alleged that her career in Bollywood has not taken off because of me. She also claims that I slapped her,' Bhatt tweeted.
He suggested that Meera should go for counseling. 'She had said something close to this in the past. I ignored it then. But now I need to say thus far and no further. Meera needs medical help and counseling. I hope this filmy trivia won't obscure the more serious issue of obtaining pardon for the 80 year old Pakistani prisoner Dr Chisty !' he added. Quite like Bollywood's cross-border drama, isn't it!
