Action hero Akshay Kumar, who is in the midst of promoting his Indo-Canadian venture "Speedy Singh", Monday announced the third edition of his karate tournament, to be held Oct 19-22. The actor promises it will be "bigger and better". "For all karate enthusiasts, I`m back with my yearly karate tournament, bigger and better than ever before from 19th to 22nd Oct, 2011," Akshay posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.
The event -- Akshay Kumar International Invitational Karate-do Championship 2011 -- will be held at Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai. Akshay, a black belt in Taekwondo, had launched the event in 2009, and also plans to open a martial arts school in Mumbai. The 44-year-old also started learning traditional combat karate for his role in upcoming film "Rowdy Rathore", directed by Prabhudeva.
