In a friendly nudge to filmmaker Karan Johar, the actor duo of Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan today took to Twitter to reveal how their respective roles were 'chopped' in the two blockbusters directed by him. "@juniorbachchan I was there in KANK too but @kjohar25 thought I was best suited for the deleted scenes in the SPECIAL DVD edition (sic)," Riteish tweeted recalling how his original cameo in the 2006 romantic drama Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna was done away in the finished version. Actors Shahrukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukherjee and Preity Zinta had played lead roles in the blockbuster. Finding a buddy in Ritesh, Abhishek Bachchan narrated a similar experience involving Johar. "@Riteishd @kjohar25 haha bro. He did the same thing to me in K3G. Gotta get our revenge!!!! (sic)." Abhishek's guest appearance was removed from the edited version of Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham.

Produced by Dharma Productions and directed by Johar, the 2001 superhit cast Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles. Responding to Abhishek, Ritieish says, "@juniorbachchan let's get @kjohar25 to act in BLUFFMASTERS RETURN- n make hip RAP" (sic). Riteish and Abhishek shared screen space in Rohan Sippy's Bluffmaster.

Saying September 5 has a special significance in his career, Abhishek tweeted, "Today, 7 yrs ago... 05/09/04 I gave my first shot for a film with @SrBachchan for @RGVzoomin SARKAR. Now you don't forget a day like that!!! Now that I think of it, the 5th of Sept is quite a significant date for me (sic)". "Dhoom was declared my 1st hit on 5th sept. And...on the same day @kjohar25 offered me Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. Allowing me to cancel out working with him from my bucket list!," he said.
