Katrina Kaif & Ranbir Kapoor set for box office crash:  Yes, you read it right. It wasn’t planned but the makers couldn’t decide on some other day. As per trade reports, Rockstar was earlier scheduled for a July release but since Imtiaz Ali and music director A R Rahman are still working on the movie’s music, they decided to delay the film by a month and to release it along with Salman Khan’s Bodyguard which happens to hit the theatres by August end.

But as the industry knows, no one messes with Salman, especially when his films are releasing at the time of Eid. Now, the Rockstar makers had only one choice: to further delay the movie. Given the fact that Salman’s last two Eid releases Wanted and Dabangg were a rage at the box office, it’s not wise to clash with Salman’s Bodyguard which is already riding high on the buzz.

On the other hand, producer Aditya Chopra also had plans to release MBKD in early September as there are not many films releasing around that time. Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is a romantic comedy with a fresh star cast, and with this film Katrina is also trying to bring in some changes in her look and acting. Her character has different shades and she plays a rebel. Katrina is desperate to have a hit film now as her last movie Tees Maar Khan was a BO turkey; in fact, she had only two releases last year. But as release dates of films are always subject to change, anything can happen.
