Anees Bazmee: "His last working days were with me brainstorming the background score of Welcome Back. I would say it's a personal loss to me. I just pray his soul rest in peace, and his family gets strength to bear this loss. Apart from being a great artist, he was a down to earth human being."

Alka Yagnik: "Ab kya Bolun... Was hoping and praying for a miracle, to see someone I was very close to wither away slowly in front of me. More than anything else, I have lost a very dear friend of 25 years or more!!! Heartbreaking !!! Aadeshji’s wife Vijayta is inconsolable. I have been with them almost every day at the Hospital since almost a month ... Dawaa, Dua... Kuchh Kaam Nahin aaya!"

Amit Trivedi: "Aadeshji was a lovely musician and an amazing composer. This is a big loss to our music industry. And to die so young....really sad. But his music will live forever."

Adnan Sami: "It's with the deepest sadness that I bid farewell to my dear friend Aadesh Shrivastava. Seeing him fight Cancer with the strength of a Tiger was the most difficult thing as one who loved him. His contribution to the world as a wonderful musician and music composer is going to live with us for all times to come some. You lived and passed on as a 'Tiger'...Now, may you rest in peace. We will miss you very much buddy!

Pahlaj Nihalani: "When Aadesh’s cop friend heard he was critically ill he got in touch with me. We both went to visit Aadesh in the hospital. To see a man so jovial and lively and energetic in that condition was nerve wracking. I was one of the first producers to have given Aadesh a break in Dil Tera Deewana, Bhai Bhai and Uljhan. He was one of the few contemporary music composers with a firm knowledge of Hindustani classical music. At the same time his songs had tremendous popular appeal. He composed a very popular song ‘Shivum Shivum’ for my film which I hummed for Aadesh when I visited him. I thought it’d ring a bell. But he didn’t recognize me. But he recognized his cop friend and saluted him from his death bed. Aadesh was a very entertaining friend. He was a storehouse of jokes. I’d make him tell his jokes every time we met. I was especially fond of a joke about a Japanese guy. I’d make him tell it repeatedly. Now who will make me laugh?”

Anu Malik: "Terrific musician, a great friend and talented composer all rolled into one. Can't believe he is no more. I am shocked and benumbed and my heart goes out to his family and children. May his soul rest in everlasting peace."

Mohit Chauhan: "I am shocked and very saddened by his untimely demise...it is a big loss to the music industry. Aadesh bhai was an exceptional talent. He will be missed. May God rest his soul in peace."

Sajid-Wajid: "It's very sad moment for the music industry and personally for me. I knew Aadesh bhai since my school days I remember how he used to encourage me to do more riyaz. He saw my growth from a guitarist to music composer. Whenever he loved our song he would call me give duas to us and always said to us, ‘You are my elder brother's son I'm very proud of you.’ I had visited him in hospital three days before his death and spoke with him. I can only say that May Allah bless his soul and give strength to his family. "

Prasoon Joshi: "I am truly saddened and it's difficult to react. A friend an instinctively blessed musician who connected with the people. A warm human being and a dear friend. A fighter who picked himself despite all adversities. His laugh and jokes will ring in my ears. I will never ever forget him."

Baabul Supriyo: "He has done enough in the field of music to be remembered forever. Very few can achieve what he has. As for his untimely demise, all I can say is that, when God/luck/destiny decided his fate with such an almost incurable ailment hitting him with a third relapse, all prayers for recovery fall flat. After visiting him in the hospital, I find solace in the fact that his suffering has ended. He can now Rest in Peace."
