Salman Khan is on a record breaking spree since the release of his new film “Kick.” According to The Times of India, the film is not just set to enter the 200 crore club with a bang but has beaten several box office records, largely owned by Shahrukh Khan’s biggest blockbusters. “Kick” has already ousted Shahrukh’s “Om Shanti Om” from the top 10 highest Bollywood grossers overseas. The Sajid Nadiadwala film has now surpassed “Jab Tak Hai Jaan,” his own “Dabangg 2” and Ranbir Kapoor’s “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” and is now the sixth highest overseas grosser of all times.
According to sources, “Kick” has made a total of 313 crores rupees so far which includes over 50 crores rupees of overseas collections and over 262 crores rupees of domestic collections. Marching ahead, “Kick” will soon beat “Ek Tha Tiger” which is marginally ahead with a total collection of 319 crores rupees.
“Kick” will now be lagging behind just four films — “Dhoom 3,” “Krrish 3,” “Chennai Express” and “3 Idiots” but with four more days to go for the release of Akshay Kumar’s Entertainment, the film may break a few more records on the box office.
