Tanushree Dutta join May Queen 2011 at Qatar: Tanushree Dutta, former Miss India and Bollywood Star will be the chief guest for the May Queen – 2011 organized by Doha Goans Sports Club on 5th May 2011 at Hotel Ramada Plaza (Giwana Ball Room) from 8.00 p.m. onwards in capital city of Qatar. The charming and tall, Tanu as we call her, was crowned Miss India in 2004. She was also crowned Miss Confidence and Miss Beautiful Smile. She also participated in Miss World and ended up amongst the 10 finalists.

Tanu, easily got used to the limelight and of having her photos taken, so much so that at the end of her tenure as Miss India, handing over the title to Amrita Thapar, she still felt the need to continue to be popular, and this is what motivated her to join Bollywood. Her career as an actress started with 'Chocolate' in 2005, and then went on to star in Aashiq Banaya Aapne, 36 China Town, Bhagam Bhaag, Risk, Good Boy Bad Boy, Raqeeb, Dhol, Speed, Mr. Fraud, Dus Kahaniyan, Sas Bahu Aur Sunsex, Rokda, Apartment, Ramaa, Khilladi (2011).

Entertaining the crowd for the evening will be the renowned band - “BlackSlades” - the top most band will be flown from India to perform and is expected to rock the crowd at Ramada Plaza. By any standards one of the best Goan bands around. This group of guys are based in Delhi but are very much Goans at heart. They have performed and entertained music lovers for the past 22years in Delhi.

They have also done several musical shows overseas and perform regularly in Indian cities like Chandigarh, Roorkhie, Jaipur, Goa,etc, besides Delhi. Catering to different types of people and listening tastes from rock concerts at colleges to hi-brow jazz and pop dos. Their repertoire is wide, flexible and they provide what the people want. These guys are meant for bigger things, which sooner or later will pass their way. Black Slades have also worked with Apache Indian and Kailash Kher.
