Empowerment got a starry booster shot on Wednesday night as Madhuri Dixit, Lara Dutta and a host of other lovelies stepped out in support of Lilavati Hospital's 'Save and Empower the Girl Child' campaign, in ensembles by Manish Malhotra. Over a1000 medical professionals and VIPs cheered them on, also offering generous applause to Shiamak Davar for a spectacular theme-specific dance display. 

 

But while Lucky Morani steered the charity event to its natural conclusion, it was Bollywood 'badmaash' (his words, not ours) Mika Singh who metaphorically stole the show. When he was called up to the stage for a brief felicitation, the singer made an impromptu donation of Rs. 2 lakh towards the cause. Now that's what we call putting your money where your mouth is!
