Sonakshi Sinha was visibly upset with the organizers of the 20th Annual Screen Awards. If the Screen Awards nomination list left us shocked, it has angered the team of Lootera even more. What is supposed to be an unbiased annual ceremony that applauds Bollywood’s talent seemed like a rigged show. Shotgun’s daughter wasn’t one to mince words when she expressed her dismay on her Twitter page.
Sonakshi Sinha walked into the year’s first award ceremony this week in a nude and silver Amit GT gown and this babe looked splendid. She made jaws drop just the way she did with her performance in Vikramaditya Motwane. While her co-star had more reason to frown than smile, as Ranveer Singh who delivered two noteworthy performances and played distinct roles didn’t even find a mention in the Best actor award category. If this wasn’t a shocker, then Sona missed the best actor (female) award to Deepika Padukone. The Dabangg babe was not the one to take any of this lying down and shot back at the organizers.
Sonakshi tweeted, “Disheartening how Lootera has been held back from most of the nominations this year! Didn’t they call it a masterpiece/poetry in motion/world class/technically superior film when it released? That seems like qualification enough to be out there. Not nominating Vikram Motwane for best director, Ranveer for acting, Amit Trivedi for music, Shetty for cinematography, Aditya for art, Subarna for costume, Amitabh for lyrics makes my nomination feel so out of place! Vikram Motwane, you will and always be best director for me! Ranveer, Amit Trivedi, Shetty, Aditya, Subarna, Amitabh Bhattacharya and everyone associated with this very special film will Always be proud of Lootera whether or not they acknowledge us :) ” Well, we wonder now that Ms Sinha has voiced her opinions loud and clear will she also make an exit from award shows like Aamir Khan?
