Latest buzz doing the rounds in the film industry is that Kamal Haasan's second daughter Akshara is all set to make her Bollywood debut. Rumours suggest that director Balki of "Paa" fame has approached Akshara to play a character in his new film with his constant fixture Amitabh Bachchan. According to reports, Balki has also roped in "Raanjhanaa" actor Dhanush to play a pivotal role in the film. Earlier, reports had emerged that Shah Rukh Khan will be sharing screen space with Amitabh in this untitled venture. The Baadshah of Bollywood was expected to shift his focus on this project after completing "Happy New Year." But it looks like Dhanush has replaced SRK in the film, which is expected to go on floors in early 2014. The "Kolaveri Di" actor has also already committed to do a film with his "Raanjhanaa" director Anand L Rai.
The actor-director duo will be commencing their film, touted to be a bilingual, in 2014. It is not clear as to which film will go on floors first. While Akshara Haasan has reportedly been cast opposite Dhanush in Balki's film, female lead for Rai's film is not yet known. Dhanush has worked with Akshara's elder sister Shruti in the Tamil film "3." If the reports turn out to be true, he will be teaming up with Akshara in her Bollywood debut. Kamal Haasan's second daughter had reportedly been approached by many filmmakers. But the grey-eyed beauty refused to take up those offers citing she preferred to work behind the cameras. In the past, Akshara has assisted director Rahul Dholakia and her father in "Vishwaroopam." Apparently, she did not want to let go of the opportunity working in Balki's film. An official confirmation in this regard is still awaited.
