UK based singer Jay Sean is in town for his concerts and from amongst the many friends he has in Bollywood, guess who he was spotted with recently? Actress Priyanka Chopra!
The duo go a long way back. Priyanka has been a fan of Jay’s music. But with Twitter becoming an intergral part of a celebrity’s life, the two have constantly kept in touch over the social networking site. In fact when Priyanka was in the US shooting for Anjaana Anjaani with actor Ranbir Kapoor, one of her special visitor was Jay. It so happened that the singer was in the US for one of his concerts and on learning that PC was close by, he just decided to land up on the sets and surprise her. The duo later spent the day together catching up over music and other things alike.
When news that Priyanka was going to cut an international music album came out, Jay was one of the first ones to congratulate her over her achievement on Twitter. This time around however, the singer had already made plans to meet PC even before he came to India. “Jay is really fond of PC and is hoping to work with her in the future especially after she announced her plans of working on an international album,” says a source close to the singer.
However, the dinner date had nothing to do with work this time. “They are very good friends and met up to catch up with each other. While music is one of the things they discuss, but they share a very personal equation,” adds the source. The duo was spotted having dinner at a popular night club in Juhu on Sunday night. PC and Jay seemed to be at ease despite the curious glances being thrown their side. They seem to be having a good time with each other.
Jay tweeted, “Dinner with @priyankachopra — catchin up, good food, good company, good times!” While, it may also seem like a musical colllaboration is on the cards, its too early to say that, says a source close to PC. “Piggy Chops is working on her album but she hasn’t met Jay Sean for any collaboration. It may or may not happen because it is still to early to say who PC will finally get on board.”
