Lead actors Naseeruddin Shah and Irrfan Khan who are eagerly awaiting the shoot to kickstart for their upcoming Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro 2 will have to wait for a while. National Film Development Corporation recently claimed that they hold the rights of this cult comedy and that they haven't transferred the rights to the filmmakers as yet. 

 

Director Kundan Shah recently made an official announcement about the sequel. However, the original was produced by NFDC and the sequel is said to be produced by Firoz Nadiadwala. Rajesh Das, the head of distribution of NFDC, also revealed that its only director Kundan Shah who approached NFDC for the sequel but Firoz hasn't made any such claims. Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro is a satirical classic of the 80s that starred Naseeruddin Shah, Ravi Baswani, Bhakti Barve, Om Puri, Satish Kaushik and others.
