Bollywood beauty Priyanka Chopra attended the grand opening of a new outlet of the prominent Tao Downtown lounge chain in New York as a special guest. At the launch party, Priyanka met popular American singer and songwriter Ashanti. Several other prominent Hollywood celebrities were also present and partied hard all night. Tao had invited Priyanka for an exotic bash in Las Vegas in August. Continuing their association, they invited her to attend the launch bash on Saturday. " Ashanti and Priyanka talked about the music scenario and the changing trends in the music world," a source said. Later, Ashanti also hit the DJ booth where she mixed some peppy numbers along with DJ Vice.

 

Priyanka flaunted her curves in a short, grey number teamed with lacy boots. Ashanti, on the other hand, was dubbed the Lady in Red, for her flowing red gown. A highlight style statement was Naomi Campbell's. The 43- year- old supermodel wore a Roberto Cavalli sequinned keyhole party frock. The launch event was attended by Katie Holmes, Cameron Diaz, Sofia Vergara, Gerard Butler, Brooke Shields besides other more celebrities. Naomi showed off her dance moves to Charlotte Ronson's DJ set. Priyanka stole some time to fly to the US to be part of the bash after finishing the last phase of her shoot in Durgapur for Gunday . Although her latest release Zanjeer flopped badly, she was busy lately wrapping up the shoot of an item song for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram Leela, which is ready for release in November.
