Sushant Singh Rajput, who made waves with his role as Manav Deshmukh in hit TV serial 'Pavitra Rishta' seems to be the next big thing in Bollywood. Having successfully made a transition from television to films with Abhishek Kapoor's 'Kai Po Che' earlier this year, the newcomer seems to have charmed his way into many big projects. After wowing the media and fans alike with his stellar performance in 'Kai Po Che', the actor bagged rom-com 'Shuddh Desi Romance', with one of the biggest banners in the industry, Yash Raj Films. Sushant Singh Rajput will also be seen in Rajkumar Hirani's 'Peekay' along with Bollywood biggies Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma.
And no, it doesn't stop here; Sushant has also been roped in to star in Shekhar Kapur's 'Paani' in collaboration with Yash Raj Films. There were rumours that the new lad has replaced Hrithik in the film. The actor also recently made headlines with news of his pairing up with Katrina Kaif in Abhishek Kapoor's 'Fitoor'. The film is said to be an adaptation of Charles Dicken's classics 'The Great Expectations'. According to reports, Sushant has also replaced Hrithik Roshan in Ashutosh Gowariker's period drama based on Mohenjodaro, which will also be a love story. This will be the second film in which Sushant Singh Rajput has 'replaced' Hrithik Roshan. If one Yash Raj film wasn't enough, Sushant Singh Rajput will have two to his name. The actor has been selected to play the lead in Dibakar Banerjee's film on Byomkesh Bakshi – one of Bengali literature's most famous detectives. The film, titled 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy' and will be co-produced by Yash Raj Films and Dibakar Banerjee Productions.
