One of the young and dynamic actors of Bollywood, who despite his small role in debut, ‘Janne Tu Ya Jaane Na’ left an impact, has somehow not been able to set a strong foothold in tinsel town. Even though the actor helms from a Bollywood family, it’s little surprising to see that Prateik Babbar hasn’t managed to steal the show with his lead performance in recent releases. However, after the failure of ‘Issaq’, which was an Indian version of Romeo and Juliet, the actor has bagged a role in the upcoming ‘Rum Pum Posshh’ produced by Shailesh R Singh.  And even though the name of the film may sound comically entertaining, ironically the film is a psychological thriller where Prateik will be seen in an intense role.

“I wish ‘Issaq’ could have done a little better but I am satisfied with the character the director gave me in my next ‘Rum Pum Posshh’. It’s a psychological thriller where I play a writer,” says Prateik. The movie was supposed to star Neil Nitin Mukesh but now he is no longer a part of it as Pratiek himself confirms. The movie is slated for release later this year.
