Actor-producer John Abraham is on a high as his political thriller, Madras Cafe has met with a positive response at the box office. John is reportedly even planning to apply for a tax exemption.John says the film works with people of all age groups, because it talks about violence and terrorism..."Things which affect our lives equally".John adds,"I just feel there are good films, there are bad films and then there is Madras Cafe. I feel that everyone should see the film, so that they know what happened in India that changed the political history".

Speaking on the treatment of Madras Cafe, John says,"I think we have addressed that issue in the most entertaining and commercial way".Madras Cafe is a result of 7 long years of research and going by the first week numbers, the effort seems to have paid off.
