The investors' meet called by the West Bengal government in Mumbai is expected to be a star-studded event where apart from the leading names from the industry, a host of stars from Bollywood and Tollywood will be present. Among those likely to attend the event, include Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Mithun Chakrabarty, Bappi Lahiri, Shan, Raima Sen, Dev and Koel Mulick. State Housing Minister Arup Biswas has already left for Mumbai with a group of artistes from Tollywood.
He has been given the charge of organising the cultural show that will follow the main event at the Global Cultural Centre. Culture Minister Atri Bhattacharya is also in Mumbai for the event. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who left for Mumbai Wednesday is likely to announce the new industrial policy. "We hope the state will come out with a policy that can lure industrialists,"Ashok Aikat, president of Bharat Chamber of Commerce, said.
