The first day of the Aamby Valley India Bridal Fashion Week kicked off with the ace designer JJ Valaya showcasing his authentic yet extravagant collection. His creations were inspired by the grandiose Ottoman Empire. "I always find an opportunity to infuse theatrics and fantasy into wearable garments" revealed JJ Vallaya on the show. Each garment was a treasure with such detailing that you couldn’t help but fall in love with it. Through his awe inspiring collection, the desighner celebrated workmanship. The embroidered stone work and zardozi transformed you into the world of emperors and empresses. This was art at its absolute best. Kabir Bedi and Kangana Ranauat were the show stoppers. Kabir Bedi looked smashing in his Maharaja avatar and carried the outfit with poise which was hard to miss. He just couldn’t stop raving about his designer and begged JJ Valaya to let him wear that outfit.

While, Kangana was clad in a beautiful blue choli and a lehenga which was an amalgamation of bright red and orange. Thought she looked gorgeous but “the lehenga was so heavy, I could hardly walk”, said the stunner Kangana. She was spotted wearing minimal make up and jewellery . “I felt like the Princess of Persia”, she said. Other designers present at the show were Manish Malhotra, Tarun Tahlani, duo Shantanu-Nikhil.
