The Rockstar director has always steered clear of controversy, but this time looks like he is trying hard to cash on one First Imtiaz Ali roped in ex-lovers Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor for his next film after the success of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and now he wants to have RK’s current girl Katrina Kaif to do a cameo. Is Imtiaz trying to pull-off a Silsila? Doesn’t that sound strikingly similar to the 1981 blockbuster that had real life couple Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya along with Rekha in the lead? It seems like Imtiaz wants to recreate the same magic onscreen with the young trio. While late Yash Chopra managed a sort of casting coup in his classic, we aren’t sure if the Jab We Met director will succeed in doing same.

Considering that Kat has been eying the lead role which Imtiaz has cast Dippy in, will Katrina give a green signal for this cameo? Also, since Ms Kaif is known to keep her personal life guarded, convincing her to star in a movie which could jeopardise it, looks unlikely.
