Monday night saw team 'Lootera' host a party at a suburban hotspot to celebrate the appreciation garnered by their film. A life-size poster of 'Lootera' formed the backdrop as music composer Amit Trivedi's soulful tracks set the tone for the bash, which started around 11pm and went on till the wee hours of yesterday. Apart from Vikramaditya, Raj Kumar Yadav, Rahul Bose, Zayed Khan, Sudhir Mishra and Arbaaz Khan were among the ones who arrived early. Sonakshi walked in with her parents, Shatrughan and Poonam Sinha, and was spotted dropping by their table many times during the party. Ranveer Singh walked in later wearing a tee that read, 'Smashed It' and hugged Vikramaditya, before heading toward the Sinhas' table. After what looked like a long, animated conversation, the actor took to his signature histrionics, breezing from one end of the bar to the other, matching steps with the pretty ladies on the way. Despite his insistence, the filmmaker didn't join in so Ranveer pulled Sonakshi onto the dance floor, and both of them performed to some hit numbers from Rowdy Rathore.

Also spotted was Shahid Kapur, although the actor chose to keep to himself for the most part. After producer Ekta Kapoor's arrival around midnight, the film's team proceeded to cut the cake. Vikramaditya was in particularly high spirits, what with praise pouring in from the attendees. One of the guests was overheard telling him she'd seen the film eight times, to which he simply said: "That's good, but how many times did you see it in a theatre?" Minutes later, we also heard Arbaaz complimenting him on the film's astute photography. Away from the flashlights, Amit Trivedi preferred to engage singer Shilpa Rao in a long conversation. When TOI asked him if there was pressure to outperform himself post- Lootera, the musician confidently declared, "Wait for Bombay Velvet." And just when it looked like the party was nearing an end, producer Madhu Mantena announced that the after-party would continue at his residence...
