Shankar Mahadevan applauds Indian Idol Juniors

Singer Shankar Mahadevan, who has rendered the title track in the recent Kannada film Parari in addition to several other songs in Bollywood and Kollywood, featured as a guest in the Indian Idol Junior show along with his team members Ehsaan and Loy on Sunday. Since the episode was a tribute to the work of these composers, they were present on the show. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, who have composed music for films such as Kal Ho Na Ho, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom and Salaam-e-Ishq among others, sat through the entire episode and enjoyed every contestant's performance so much that Shankar, after each performance, hugged every single child and appreciated their talent.

After Bangalore girl Anjana Padmanabhan's performance, Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy were so thrilled that they ran up to the stage and appreciated her singing and blessed her. The judges of the show, Shreya Goshal, Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani, were also seen thoroughly enjoying themselves with the juniors and their contemporaries. At the end of the episode, Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy performed a track from their upcoming Hindi film D-Day directed by Nikhil Advani, which the contestants, audience and judges enjoyed.
