Sooraj Pancholi is a hard man to get. Right now, the media are on overdrive to catch up with him for a quick chat and almost everyone’s dying to know how actor Aditya Pancholi’s son is planning to enter Bollywood. So, it was by sheer luck that this reporter spotted the actor cautiously slipping through the crowd at Hyderabad airport — completely unrecognised by the hundreds of fliers. In fact, the actor and his friend even had the luxury to check out a new car that was on display at the airport, without being troubled. Finally, when he sat down at the waiting area, it was time for a chat, although, he was obviously hesitant to reveal facts on the two separate meetings he’s had with Salman in Hyderabad. After just a minute of small talk, a question naturally went towards the suicide that had turned Sooraj’s world upside down. “That was a terrible time for me. You know, I’m so thankful to Salman Khan and Subhash Ghai for standing by me during all this trouble.” “My movie, Hero, will go on floors next January and that's all I can tell you about it,” he says. So, how does it feel to be under Salman’s superstar guidance? “Oh, he’s like that... always helping others out.
I’m extremely grateful to him and his help. I don’t know if I could have made it this far without him,” said Sooraj, who seemed to be wearing the same blue shirt he was seen in when police in Mumbai arrived at his house to detain him. Sooraj also tried his best to avoid the Salman link. Well, we can’t blame him because the industry senior has advised him to not to speak a word about the Jiah Khan episode to the media. Sooraj attempted to use a “relative’s birthday” as an excuse to explain his much-written about Hyderabad trip. During the conversation, Sooraj hinted at taking some much-needed time off. “I really want to travel and see the world, but I have no money now. Hopefully, after my big Bollywood break, I will have some cash. I really want a break,” he said with a smile. On the flight back to Mumbai, Sooraj was able to enter and seat himself in the aircraft again, without anybody noticing. It was indeed a pleasant flight, for the man who has survived much turmoil.
