Nayanthara starrer bilingual venture Anaamika is all set to hit theatres on October 14. Directed by Sekhar Kammula, the film, which is an adaptation of Vidya Balan's starrer Bollywood film Kahaani, is currently in its final stages of shooting with the cast here. "It's an honour to have worked with a critically acclaimed and award winning director like Sekhar. I am thrilled to be a part of this project which gave me an opportunity to play a strong female character. With a completely new look in Anaamika I hope that the audiences would appreciate the film and my role," Nayanthara said in a statement.Anaamika also marks the debut of Kammula in Tamil cinema and Viacom18 Motion Pictures in the Telugu and Tamil market.
"My love and passion for movie making gets bigger and better with a film like Anaamika. This adaptation in design and appearance of the characters is completely different and I hope it excites my audience. It's always challenging to make interesting movies and Anaamika is a challenge I have thoroughly enjoyed," Kammula said. The film's music and background score is composed by National Award winning music director M M Keervani, who has given chart topping tunes to over 200 South films.
