With her film 'Eega' being screened at prestigious international film festivals lately, Samantha is being embraced by global audiences and is going places. A delighted Sam gushes, "The credit goes to S.S. Rajamouli. I knew that this man would make me bigger with the film. I have great faith in him and the film’s success proved me right."What does she consider before signing a film? "Even big actors look stupid in flop films. So I firmly believe that everything depends on the director. It’s a deciding factor for me while signing a film and of course, the script is my top priority."I’m very picky; I only take up movies with substance and don’t choose films based on who my co-star will be," she says.Does that mean she is willing to work with young talents? "Of course. Recently, smaller films like 'Pizza' and 'Prema Katha Chitram' have done wonders at the box office," Sam remarks.With her peers Kajal, Tamannah and Ileana migrating to Bollywood, does she harbour the same ambitions? "I’ve been receiving several offers for Hindi films, but I’m quite happy with my work in the South. Unless something irresistible comes along, I will not act in a Bollywood film," she replies. Moving towards her co-star in 'Atharintiki Daredi', she shares, "Pawan is so down-to-earth. He is such a big star and many people treat him like a god, but he is very humble and grounded. It’s an absolute pleasure to work with him again. But contrary to rumours, I’m not doing the Gabbar Singh sequel."Who are her friends in the industry? "Thanks to my hectic schedule, I wasn’t able to socialise much and lost many of my friends. I feel lonely but my work helps me keep loneliness at bay. Everyone on the sets of my films are my friends.

"Meghana is my best friend outside the industry and she will be getting married soon."We finally reach the controversial topic of her relationship with actor Siddharth.The duo has been spotted together at several public places lately. "I don’t deny that we have been spotted together. He is my closest friend. I’ll open up about our relationship when the time is right," she says retreating into her shell."I want to make it clear to my directors and producers that I’m not going to get married for another three years," Sam quickly adds.On further being prodded about whether or not she is in a relationship with an actor, she reluctantly replies, "I don’t lie and hide anything about my life. I’m very frank and open. But I can’t disclose my personal life to the media."Does she plan to continue acting after marriage? "I may not act after marriage. I’m a family person and also very independent. I’m not sure if I will turn into a producer or do something else behind the scenes, but I’m sure that if I quit acting, I won’t make a comeback," she maintains.She recently lost two bigticket films: Mani Ratnam’s 'Kadali' and a film by Shankar."I’m destiny’s child. I never regret anything in life. If it’s in my destiny, I may get the opportunity again to work with them," she says.
