Aditya Roy Kapur's Assi Nabbe Poore Sau to be revived

Suddenly, Aditya Roy Kapur is all over the place. That's what one Friday does to actors. Having failed to make any impact in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish and Vipul Shah's London Dreams and Action Replayy, suddenly Aditya is the flavour of the season with two back-to-back blockbusters Aashiqui 2 and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, both turning the young Kapoor into one of the most saleable actors in Bollywood. The process of re-discovering Aditya Roy Kapur has begun in right earnest. One now hears that a sleeper Hindi-Tamil-Telugu project with Aditya in the lead that was designed to launch the Southern hottie Samantha Ruth Prabhu in Hindi would be revived and released. The action-adventure-comedy entitled Assi Nabbe Poore Sau in Hindi stars Aditya in only the Hindi version. Jeeva and Nani star in the Tamil and Telugu versions of the film. Samantha is common to all three versions of the film.

Says a source from the Tamil film industry, "With the miserable flopping of Gautham Menon's Hindi film Ek Deewana Tha and Aditya's films not doing well, Assi Nabbe Poore Sau was as good as shelved. But now there is a sudden upsurge of interest in Aditya. So the project is going to be revived." Vipul Shah, who had launched Aditya in London Dreams and Action Replayy, says he is planning to cast Aditya. Says Vipul, "I always believed in Aditya's talent. That's why I gave him the central part in Action Replayy. And let me remind you, he played a rockstar in my film London Dreams long before Aashiqui 2. Unfortunately, these films didn't do well. But he got noticed. Now he has a huge fan-following. And that makes me very proud. Yes, we will be working together soon." Sanjay Leela Bhansali, in whose Guzaarish, Aditya played a fey characters is also delighted by Aditya's sudden stardom. "I felt his tremendous potential during the shooting of Guzaarish. He had a difficult role. But he managed to get a hang of the part effortlessly."
