Aamir Khan has not replaced Sanjay Dutt afterall. The actor has rubbished the rumours that he would star in the next Munnabhai installment. The grapevine suggested that Aamir Khan would be stepping into Dutt's shoes, and Sharman Joshi would play Circuit. “I don’t think there can be a better Munnabhai than Sanju. If the makers do approach me with the role, I would hand over Sanju’s cell number to them,” said Aamir Khan.

The official spokesperson of Vidhu Vinod Chopra told a daily, "We are not even ready with the script of the next "Munna Bhai" flick and this is a baseless humour. Vidhu Vinod Chopra doesn't begin the casting for his films until he completes his script. Besides, Aamir Khan is not free for another two years."
