He has become the new face of Indian cinema globally and Nawazuddin is happy with the films he's doing. After attending the Cannes Film Festival this year where three of his films were screened ( Monsoon Shootout, Dabba/The Lunchbox and Bombay Talkies), Nawaz has certainly brought a lot of attention to himself from the West, but the actor is only focusing on Bollywood. "I am not doing Hollywood films but am getting world wide appreciation for my films. Many Indian actors do anything in the name of Hollywood. I can't do that. It has to be quality cinema and our films now are at par with the world now.
It's better to do quality cinema in a small budget Hindi film than doing a small role in a big budget Hollywood film". Adding further, "Thank god I am getting to do my kind of cinema and not formula films. Before Gangs of Wasseypur, I got offers for playing the supporting role. But thank god that film changed things for me. Post that I got to play the main lead in good films".
