As the former Salman-Kareena starrer movies namely, ‘Kyon Ki’ and 'Main Aurr Mrs. Khanna' have bombed at the box-office, one wonders whether the upcoming film ‘Bodyguard’, featuring the duo as the lead pair, will manage to break box-office records.

Expressing his stance, the ‘Bodyguard’ producer, Salman’s brother in law Atul Agnihotri stated that previous flop films can’t predict the fate of the future films. He further added that his approaching movie demanded a pair like Salman and Kareena, and thus, they are on board, and according to him, they make a great pair onscreen. Atul told a daily, "Some films do well and some don't; you can't pick up actors and state that their 'jodi' isn't working with the audience. On screen both Salman and Kareena look very nice and this is what that matters. “You can't start doubting your casting decisions on the basis of their earlier flops together. When you would see 'Bodyguard', you would know that this is perfect casting for the roles that have been written."

A renowned filmmaker seems to be not very convinced with the fact that the Salman-Kareena onscreen pair hasn’t delivered a single hit till date.

The ace moviemaker states that the scripts of the Salman-Kareena starrer former films, ‘Kyon Ki’ and ‘Main Aur Mrs Khanna’, didn’t justify the teaming up of the high-flying stars, as apart from this, there can be no other reason behind the failure of projects with the two most sought after artists.

The filmmaker said, "It is surprising that the hottest superstars in the business today haven't managed to deliver a success so far. I would have given it all to make sure that when I sign them on, there is a deadly story, script and presentation in place that justifies the coming together on screen.”

“Seems like the makers of 'Kyon Ki' and 'Main Aurr Mrs. Khanna' were not as intrigued and chose unconventional subjects despite such luxury of star material at their disposal," he added. Salman busy with ‘Bodyguard’ promotions Of late, reports are trickling in that the ‘Bodyguard’ hero Salman Khan is at present quite busy with the promotional activities of the film.

The superstar is so involved with his latest venture that he doesn’t even have time to greet his parents. Sallu has already started shooting for the promos of his film at the Mehboob studio in Bandra. Talking about how packed Salman is, an insider revealed, “Bhai is too busy these days. He doesn't even get time to say Salaam to his parents at home!"
