Trailer of Indian film shot in Oman gets over 1.6mn hits on YouTube

The trailer of Bollywood gangster film Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai Again, a sequel to the 2010 hit Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai has received more than 1.6mn hits on YouTube. The film was extensively shot at various locations across the sultanate in August and September last year. The trailer was released by the production company Balaji Telefilms on May 28. The trailer shows some of Oman’s popular landmarks including aerial shots of the Grand Mosque, the road to Qantab, Shangri La’s Barr al Jissah Resort and Spa and Oman Air. Mohammad al Kindi, a filmmaker with Oman TV said, “It is a matter of great pride to see a top Bollywood production house shooting in our country.

“This film will help promote Oman as a tourist destination in a big way. I hope more production houses from Bollywood will come to Oman to shoot their films as it will also help citizens to get jobs in different areas of filmmaking. “I am sure cine-goers from around the world including India will be keen to visit Oman after watching Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Again.” The film, scheduled to be released during Eid, stars Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Imran Khan and Sonali Bendre.
