Ghajini fame Jiah Khan committed suicide in her flat at Sara Tarang apartment in Juhu  on Monday night by hanging herself, according to TV reports. The cause of death is still not confirmed but preliminary reports suggest suicide. Her dead body was taken to the Cooper Hospital for post mortem but later shifted to JJ hospital. Suicide note was not found so the reason of the suicide is still not clear. The Juhu police have registered the case of accidental death and waiting for the post mortem report. According to the police, her maid, watchman and neighbours are being interrogated to find out her last visitors.

Jiah's mother and sister had gone out and she was alone at the house when the incident happened, police said. "As of now it is not clear that why she took such drastic step and her mother is in state of shock so in this situation we have not recorded her statement. The cause of death will be more clear after the post mortem report will arrive. After the preliminary investigation it appears that she was in depression since past few months" said Deputy Commissioner of Police,  Chherring Dorje of Zone IX. The 25-year-old actress debuted opposite legendary Amitabh Bachchan in Ram Gopal Verma's film Nishabd in 2007. She also acted opposite Aamir Khan in Ghajini (2008) and Akshay Kumar in Housefull (2010).Khan was noted for her confidence, attitude, and sex appeal. She also got a Filmfare Best Debutant Nomination. Jiah was brought up in England and had shifted to Mumbai recently to act in Hindi films.
