Amitabh Bachchan surprised us by wearing a blue and white jacket and white pants at the opening photo call of the 66th Cannes International Film Festival 2013. It came as a bit of a surprise, since we are certainly not used to seeing Big B in styles like this at such prestigious events. In fact, we expected him in a classic tux…or at least a plain summery jacket, since it was a daytime pose-session. But maybe he believed that The Great Gatsby – which is why he was posing – mandated fashion that was…err…more outre than he generally chose, we don’t know.

But looks like the Cannes experiment was just a glimpse into what lay ahead. The legendary actor has gone a step further as far as his style quotient goes, or so it seems. If the promo stills from the seventh season of his hit TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati are anything to go by, Big B is planning to go all outrageous in his new, colourful, flower boy avatar. Is this a second coming of the Sexy Sam thing, AB? If so…umar ho gayi, na? Take a look at the pictures Big B shared – with him in an orange suit and then a purple one, both rather better suited (sic) to someone younger, slimmer, sexier…we could go on, except we got lost for words there.
