Meanwhile, Vindoo's residence in Juhu has been raided and sources say some cash has also been recovered and there is a high possibility of the summoning of the person mentioned by Vindoo Dara Singh. During interrogation of key bookie Ramesh Vyas ,he has revealed that Vindoo Dara Singh was closely involved in the facilitation of deals between some bookies and IPL players . He also revealed that he along with bookie Sunil Dubai and Shobhan Kalachowky was overall managing the fixing operations. Bookie Sunil Dubai is believed to be the main link between the bookies and the underworld in Mumbai. Sources in the crime branch said,During interrogation ,Ramesh Vyas told that cricketer S Sreesant was interested in acting in Malyalam films and needed bollywood connections in this regard.
Mumbai police is probing the call details of Vindoo made to a Chennai number. The calls were made over a period of six months, say sources. Charged with cheating and forgery, 49-year-old Vindoo, son of late wrestler-actor Dara Singh, was produced before a local court in Mumbai on Tuesday, which remanded him to police custody till Friday. Moving ahead in the investigations into the IPL spot fixing scam, Mumbai police on Tuesday arrested three more people, including Bollywood actor Vindu Dara Singh Randhawa, a bookie and a hawala operator. Alpesh Patel, a man accused of facilitating transfer of over crore of rupees from Dubai to India through hawala was also arrested. Mumbai police Crime Branch also seized Rs.12.80 million in cash from the residence of the arrested hawala operator, Alpesh Patel. Prem Taneja, have been remanded in police custody till May 24, said Joint Police Commissioner (Crime) Himanshu Roy. Vindoo was spotted watching matches in Chennai, Mumbai and Bangalore sitting in the franchise's in VIP enclosures on several occasions and the police was probing how he had ready access to the box. Mumbai crime branch will interrogate him before coming to any conclusion about involvement of others till saturday and also probing his call details.
