The 1993 Mumbai blasts case’s convict Sanjay Dutt was spending his nights in Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail since he surrendered at a special TADA court on May 16. But now the actor has been shifted from Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail to Pune’s Yerwada Jail. This will now be the place for Dutt where he’ll serve his jail term of 42 months. Earlier on May 10 the SC rejected his review petition but Dutt’s lawyer has said that he will file a curative appeal on behalf of Dutt. The actor will be wearing the jail uniform and soon be provided with a ‘qaidi number’. Last time when he was in jail he did carpentry and now he will be doing the labour work.
Dutt’s family can give him 1500 bucks per month to let him buy his essentials. Most of Sanjay’s appeals have been rejected, like; Dutt's request to smoke electronic cigarettes in prison has been refused and has asked him to quit instead. But a few have been agreed by the SC as he can have home-made food, a thin mattress, a pillow and medicines for a month. He can meet visitors once a month for 20 minutes. Illegal possession of weapons during 93 blasts has caused the 53-year-old a lot.
