Aishwarya Rai Bachchan looked slim and elegant as she made her much awaited entry to the Cannes Film Festival's red carpet in a black sequined Elie Saab gown. The 39-year-old Bollywood diva, who is on her eleventh visit to the festival, completed her look with open hair and minimal jewellery. Aishwarya, who has travelled with her 18-month-old daughter Aardhya at the festival, kept the tot away from the prying cameras by making a lone entry at the premiere of Carey Mulligan-Justin Timberlake starrer film 'Inside Llewyn Davis'.
The actress later ditched her western look by going traditional in Sabyasachi's black saree for the evening gala that celebrated 100 years of Indian cinema. Aishwarya teamed hair accessory and danglers with the gold embroidered saree as she made her way to the screening of Bollywood anthology film 'Bombay Talkies'. The actress went monochrome with her third outfit as she donned a fitted white shirt and black mermaid-style skirt.
Cannes jury member Vidya Balan, who was criticised for going over-the-top with her sartorial choices, stood out in an elegant rustic-gold Sabyasachi saree with a potli bag for her latest appearance. Mallika Sherawat, who has been a regular at Cannes red carpet since her debut with Jackie Chan's 'The Myth', is known for making head turns with her risque style. But Sherawat made an impressive second appearance this year in a Dolce & Gabana gown.
