Kangana Ranaut has a lot of films lined up this year — Krrish 3, Rajjo, Queen and I Love NY — but it’s Queen that currently has her smiling from ear to ear. Not only has her performance pleased co-producer Anurag Kashyap, but he has also decided to edit the film himself now. Anurag is well-known as a director and producer, but this is the first time he’ll be editing a film. Interestingly, his ex-wife Aarti is a film editor who has worked on several of his films in the past. A thrilled Kangana says, “All my films this year are special to me, but somehow, Queen has stood out. Anurag loved the rushes so much that he wanted to edit the film. I was very happy to hear that. He’s taken this up only because he wants the film to do well and he thinks it needs the right presentations.

The actor claims she has received very good feedback for her performance so far. Director Vikas Bahl showed some rushes to actors Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma too, and they both loved Kangana’s performance and conveyed their best wishes to her. “It’s unbelievable. I feel very emotional about these things. Anushka told me that this is one of my best performances in a long time. This generation has a lot of pressure to take Indian cinema to the next level, so appreciation feels very good,” she says.
