Model-turned-actor Zarine Khan was born on May 14, 1987 into a Muslim, Pathan family in Mumbai. Considered actor Katrina Kaif’s voluptuous lookalike, Zarine aka Zareen made her debut opposite Salman Khan in the 2010 film Veer and grabbed immediate attention. In 2011, she made a cameo appearance in Anees Bazmee’s Ready, where she grooved to the beats of the popular number Character dheela with Salman. and then went on to act in Sajid Khan’s super hit comedy Housefull 2. Today, this sexy siren turns 25.

Zarine speaks Hindi, Urdu and Marathi. She had never planned to get into showbiz. In fact, she weighed close to a 100kgs when she was in college. But after finishing her studies, she began to focus on losing weight and getting into shape. Her determination paid off and Zarine achieved a desirable figure. In 2009, she visited the sets of Yuvvraaj at Subhash Ghai’s film school Whistling Woods International where she was spotted by none other than Salman. The macho actor decided to cast Zarine in the role of Princess Yashodhara in his film Veer. Life was never the same for Zarine after that. Zarine is currently enjoying the commercial success of her last film Housefull 2 and she will soon be seen in Partner 2 with Salman and Govinda.
