Whatever their personal equation may be, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif look very much in love whenever they enact a romantic scene onscreen. This probably is the reason why rumours about their real life relation never die down. And I guess this interesting closeness has made Imtiaz Ali choose Katrina as his leading lady in a movie which already has Ranbir in the lead.

We hear that Imtiaz always had Ranbir in the cast. He was apparently looking for the right actress to star opposite him and it seems his search has halted on Katrina. While producer Sajid Nadiadwala is not confirming it, a source asserts that Katrina Kaif is part of the cast.  We hear Katrina always wished to be Imtiaz’s heroine. She knows that actresses in his movies not only get applause and appreciation for their roles but sometime awards too. Kareena’s bubbly act in Jab We Met won her the Filmfare Best Actress Award unanimously. If we rewind a little further, Ayesha Takia was appreciated for her demure role in Ali’s debut film ‘Socha Na Tha’. Same is the case with Deepika Padukone who made heads turn with ‘Love Aaj Kal’. Hence, Kaif is sure she will be projected in a great way in Ali’s movie, add to that Ranbir Kapoor’s presence in the film and no doubt she is so kicked about it.
