Actor Saif Ali Khan is in a happy state of mind, on both personal and professional fronts. The 42-year-old, who married actor Kareena Kapoor last October, tells us that he has a calm life after marriage. "It's very relaxed. I have a settled home life. I'm married to someone who understands my need to work and is supportive of my career. It's all good," he says. Saifeena, as the couple is popularly referred to, have worked together in films such as Omkara, Tashan, Kurbaan and Agent Vinod. On being asked about working with his wife again, he says, "She's a wonderful actor and I have always had a lovely time working with her. I would love to work with her again but we need a good script."
2013 began on a good note for Saif, with Race 2. His next release, zom-com Go Goa Gone, will hit theatres this Friday. "It's a very funny film with a great script. I'm playing a drug dealer and I was comfortable in my character. Young people will love the film," says the hopeful star. On being asked about the absence of a romantic interest for him in this film, he says, "I didn't have time to romance. There were zombies and we were saving our lives (laughs)."
Saif is also on board Sajid Khan's next. However, after the filmmaker's last film, Himmatwala, bombed, there were rumours that Saif may opt out of the project. Saif clears the air, saying, "It was a bit unfateful that the film didn't work well. Sajid's a good filmmaker, I'm looking forward to working with him."
'We are a regular couple' Even as hubby Saif Ali Khan says that they have a relaxed life as a married couple, wifey Kareena Kapoor pitches in, saying that they actor-duo are like any other regular couple. "Saif and I are just a regular couple and it's nice to be able to enjoy dinner at our favourite restaurant without light bulbs flashing in our faces constantly," says Kareena, who tied the knot with Saif in October last year.
The couple, shares Bebo, make time to be together despite their busy schedules. "Being from the same industry, Saif completely understands the pressure that comes with being an actor. He's very encouraging and I am grateful to him for that. And while we never sideline our work, we ensure that we sneak in some 'us time' in the midst of our hectic schedules - be it catching a movie together, a quiet dinner or an impromptu vacation," she shares.
And despite being a style diva who millions of women look up to, Kareena confesses that she seeks approval from Saif before dressing up. "I seek approval from my man on how I look and what I should wear. And Saif, with his great taste, gives me some fabulous inputs," admits the 32-year-old actor.
