Fans of the Kapoor khaandaan, who had been waiting with baited breath to see Ranbir and Kareena Kapoor play siblings on-screen, will have to wait longer as junior RK is indeed running short of dates for the film starring his real life cousin, Kareena. The film in question will be directed by Zoya Akhtar and is believed to be based on her real life equation with her brother Farhan.

Zoya was keen to cast Ranbir in the film so that his real life bonding with sister Kareena could reflect on-screen perfectly. But the filmmaker could not wait any longer, and therefore, is thinking of signing Ranveer Singh for her ambitious project. The ‘Band Baaja Baarat’ star is apparently keen to work with Kareena and wouldn’t mind playing her brother on-screen. Talking to a daily, a source said, “Ranveer missed out on working with Kareena in ‘Ram Leela’. This time he wants to make it work. Even if it means he does not get to play the romantic lead.”

Will Ranveer be able to fit into Ranbir’s shoes?
