Sonam Nair thanks producer Karan Johar for her upcoming film, Gippi. For the debutant, this project was possible because she had someone as "open minded" as KJo to produce her project, as Sonam puts it.

"Karan never once told me to change script or questioned the decisions I made. He was there when I needed help and guided me. He gave me the liberty to make the film I wanted to make. That kind of freedom is very rare, especially for my debut film. He told me if I had problems, I should just call him. Karan would check up every week. He wasn't a head master taking tabs and was very open minded as a producer".
