Veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt is quite happy with the success of Aashiqui 2 and he does not rule out the possibility of coming out with the third and fourth instalment of the film, saying love stories don't have an end. Bhatt directed the 1990 hit romantic film Aashiqui. The film, starring Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal, was a commercial success, particularly because of its music and songs. Aashiqui 2 has been directed by Mohit Suri and co-produced by Bhatts' production house Vishesh Films. The romantic musical, released last Friday, has reportedly earned over Rs 24.50 crore in box office collection till now. "Love stories don't have an ending... they continue to go ahead. So we can have Aashiqui 3 and 4 and even more. There is no full stop to that," Bhatt told the PTI.
"The film has achieved tremendous success and we are happy about it. This shows films with 'A and U' certificate can do well provided the story is good," he said. Aashiqui 2 starred newcomers Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles. Aditya described the film as a life-changing experience for him. "I thank everyone (makers) for having faith and trust in me and Shraddha. It (the film) is a life-changing experience for me," he said. Suri said he is happy that his film has been accepted by the people. The makers are planning to add one more song to the film.
