While it's not new for Bollywood actors to croon for their films, Priyanka Chopra has gone two steps ahead. The actress is all set to turn singer for an English music album. The actress posted on her Twitter page, "OMG OMG...it's finally happened. Big day for me guys... goin nuts!! Just signed a recording deal to release my debut International music album."

The actress who has strummed the guitar, and donned the rockstar avatar in her movies has signed a global recording deal with Universal Music Group. She tweeted, "I've signed a global recording deal with Universal Music Group (UMG)&Desi Hits!The album will be in English & will have a worldwide release."

Excited by this prospect, the actress posted on the microblogging site, "A long cherished dream is now taking flight and I am so very excited! Music has always been a passion and now I have been given the opportunity to share it with the world. Wish me luck..." "I've already started working on the album. It's scary but so very exciting & I'm counting on UR support as I begin this exciting new journey" she added. And fans couldn't have been happier, as one fan, @Harshad_HP tweeted, @priyankachopra :- I am also Exciting about your album Priyanka. It will be Rocking." If all goes well, this would make the model-turned actress, the first Bollywood star to release an English music album.
