Bollywood actress Sridevi recently received the Padma Shri award for her contribution to the film industry. To facilitate this honour, industrialist Subrato Roy threw a grand party fir her and invited all the bigwigs in the film industry, politics and corporate sector. However, the highlight of the party was not Sridevi but the dishes served at the party that were named after her filmography. So the dishes that were served were ChaalBaaz Pav Bhaji, Chandni jalebi, Chand ka Tukda ice cream, Lamhe lamb satay and Hawa Hawaii dal makhani. The dishes were causing murmurs of excitement among the guests.

According to a source who attended the party, "There were about 50 dishes and almost all the dishes were named after her film." According to onlookers, the whole theme of the party was Sridevi. There were posters of her movies that captured her filmi journey. The deejay was heard playing her songs. Some of the celebrities who attended the party were Madhoo Shah, Gauri Shinde, R Balki, Madhur Bhandarkar, Anil Kapoor and of course Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor. Sridevi has returned to films with English Vinglish, and is likely to be seen in many more films in coming years.
