Actor Shahrukh Khan, esconced in the misty heights of Munnar, is miles away from IPL action, but his heart seldom misses the heart-pounding music that emanates from the stadiums. Asked about whether he misses the cricketing action because of the ongoing shoot of ‘Chennai Express’ here in Munnar, Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan jovially said: “Talking to you, I have already missed 20 minutes of the IPL”. His presence would definitely have boosted the spirit of Kolkata Knight Riders players, he told reporters at the Silver Tips Hotel in Munnar on Friday.
On whether he would enter politics, he said: “It is not my arena. My profession is cinema and it would be better if politics is left for the professionals.” For his co-actor Deepika Padukone, Munnar evokes nostalgic memories. “This is the first place I visited in Kerala as a child with my family,” she said. The cast and crew of ‘Chennai Express’ reached Munnar on April 12. The shooting of the film is expected to wind up on Saturday. Then the team will move on to Coimbatore. The film is expected to be released in August.
