What kind of music would you expect from a zombie comedy? Who knows! Music director duo Sachin-Jigar steps in to make a musical out of this quirky film starring Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Khemu, Vir Das and Anand Tiwari. And you get some interestingly trippy results! Slowly slowly is a fast-paced rave party number. It’s catchy and should rule the dance floor very soon. The dance beats and bold and edgy lyrics – Raat hai ek whore, hai mange more, tu loot jaa slowly slowly, ghaas ka kar jhol tu kar le roll – are entertaining, captivating. This one is bound to stay on the DJ playlists for a long time.

Go Goa Gone music review: Quirky, funny and trippy!

Khoon choos le is a quirky take on Monday blues: Khoon choos ne tu aaya khoon choos ne, bloody khooni Monday kyu aya khoon choos ne, tu ja re ja re ja kabutar ja, mai nahin jaana bistar ko chodke. The use of the sitar in this heavy number is superb and the shrill alaaps add to the khooni effect. It’s a killer number! Babaji ki booti is a doper’s song – the digital sounds and synths have been used quite cleverly to create the feeling of a dope trip. The song has a good hook and melody. But the winner here is the crazy and totally hilarious lyrics by Priya PanchalWo dekh… wo kya hai? Panchi? Na re pagle, plane? Arre dekh, underwear bahar hai, Superman! Na, that is babaji!”

I keel dead people is a 1.42 minute theme – a cheesy techno track interspersed with screams and dialogues about killing zombies. This one’s groovy, but just about okay. After all the quirky and crazy numbers comes a soothing track sung by Shreya GhosalKhushamdeed. It’s a song about saying thank you to all your loved ones and at the same time appreciating what life has to offer. Shreya’s honeyed voice and the light guitar-based tune come together to make for a nicely breezy song. The soundtrack on the whole is as crazy and quirky as the idea of zombies being hunted in Goa and trippy enough to be played at a rave party. Enjoy!
