Preity Zinta recently took on the role of real life good samaritan while en route to the airport. Apparently, Zinta spotted an ambulance that had knocked down a pedestrian and zoomed off. Giving pursuit to the errant driver, Zinta snapped the culprit's number plate. Tweeting about the incident, Preity posted, "On the way 2 the airport 2 take a flight to Punjab when I saw a man crossing the highway & a White Ambulance hit him & RUN. This is insane. Yes he was wrong 2cross like that but an Ambulance hitting & Running is Shocking... MH - 04- FP - 1634. I tried 2follow them but they Ran."
Post snapping the registration place of the errant vehicle, Preity reported the incident to the cops. "Called the Cops & informed them. Man is take by some people 2the Hospital as I was busy chasing the Ambulance2 get its licence plate no. This is the licence plate no. Of this Ambulance . MHO4-FP1634. Did all I could & reported it. Hope that man survives", says the hopeful actress. Meanwhile, passersby rushed the victim Ganpat Gaunak, 57, who was out distributing invites for a wedding with his wife and daughter, to the hospital. While eyewitnesses say that Gaunak had fainted on impact and seemed like he had suffered severe head injuries.
