Even though she is just one film old in Bollywood, Shotgun Shatrughan Sinha's daughter Sonakshi has become the golden girl of the industry. Sonakshi is bagging one endorsement after the other and has her kitty full with films. But the 'Dabangg' actress feels that she is not a part of any competition.
 
At present, Sonakshi is shooting for Shirish Kunder's 'Joker' and is about to start shooting for 'Rowdy Rathore', both of which will have Akshay kumar opposite her. Ask her, if she is the next lucky charm of Akshay after Katrina, Sonakshi quips, "I think if two stars sign more than one film together, they are bound to be connected with such tags. I am sure that people will like our pairing and chemistry in 'Joker'. Personally, I don't see any harm in it as Akshay is definitely a wonderful star to work with."
 
Sonakshi has also bagged a meaty role in director duo Abbas-Mastan's 'Race 2'. The role was supposed to be played by Katrina Kaif earlier. However, Sonakshi has a complete practical outlook about stepping into someone's else shoes. "If someone is not able to do a film, someone else has to take his or her place. It's just being at the right place at the right time," she said.
 
However, life is not as pleasant for the young newbie who was in capital as the brand ambassador of P&G Pantene shampoo. Recently, she had to walk out of Kamal Haasan starrer 'Vishwaroopam', after she failed to achieve that perfect figure as required in the film in the given time period. When asked to confirm the news, Sonakshi blamed it on the lack of dates in her work schedule.
 
"I was really glad when I received a proposal from Kamal Ji to star with him in his film. However, blame it on my dates, I have been shooting for 'Joker' for the past few months and I have to start shooting for 'Rowdy Rathore' next week. So, somehow I was not able to manage time for Kamal Haasan's film and had to leave the project.
 
In the meantime, Sonakshi made headlines with her alleged link-up with 'Band Baaja Baaraat' star Ranveer Singh. This completely miffed Ranveer’s alleged girlfriend Anushka Sharma. Ask her what if Ranveer invites her out for a date with him, a beaming Sonakshi said, "Oh! I would rather ask Ranveer that such things are not supposed to be said in public. So let's keep it private."
